Easy drinking wine with a fine minerality and delicacy of structure with an aroma/bouquet of poached pears & quince jelly, & a background of nougat. Pear, quince & peach flavours dominate. Will age gracefully over the next four years.

Astrolabe Experience Riesling 2007 (375ml)

This wine is very rich in apricot & citrus aromas. Sumptuous sweet fruit, with apricot & citrus peel flavours, & a honeyed texture. This wine will continue to develop rewarding flavour & bottle complexity with ageing, but is showing the most pronounced varietal characters in the first blush of youth!

Some ripe melon & dried stone fruits, with a honeyed, buttery lift & a subtle mealiness. A wine of very elegant texture with stonefruit flavours, pleasing weight & long dry finish.
