How to Order and Pay
You can buy wines from Cellar Link in the following way:
- order online quickly and easily (please see the step by step guide below)
Ordering Online
Step One: Browsing the website
If you are looking for a particular wine, you can use Cellar Link’s Advanced Search filters to find it. The Advanced Search function is found on the Home page.
Otherwise, browse for wine using the Wine Store drop down menu on the navigation bar which allows you to search by various categories. Navigate to the page and then use the filters to narrow down your search.
For example, if you are looking for a particular wine varietal, use the drop down option at Wine Store entitled 'By Varietal’, and then click on "Grenache" to view all the wines in the category (ie. all Grenache wines available for sale via the Cellar Link website).
The items from this category will load. Choose the wine you would like, click on Add to Cart and the wine will be added to your shopping cart.
More detailed information is available for every wine on offer, just click on Details for information about that particular wine. For example you can access wine critic ratings, regional information and bottle size to help you make a more informed decision. Once you have viewed the information and wish to purchase the wine, click on the Add to Cart button to add to your shopping cart.
You can continue shopping by selecting another category from the Wine Store drop down menu and repeat as above, adding as many products to your shopping cart as you like.
Step Two: Going to checkout & confirming your order
When you are ready to complete your purchase, go to the top right of the screen, click on Cart icon and review the contents of your cart. At this stage you can aa, remove and update your purchase before check out.
If you have already registered for a Shopping Account, you can simply Log In here or, if it's your first time with us complete the requested information in the Shopping Cart Registration page.
Check that your order is correct. You can then update or change delivery and billing address before making a payment.

Further hints and tips
How can I get recommendations on which wine to buy?
The Cellar Link site is designed to help meet your wine-buying needs – for instance you can use Cellar Link’s search tools to browse wines by categories such as producer, vintage and varietal. Many of the wines we feature on our site have been tasted by a well-known wine critic and consequently have a tasting note and score attributed to them. You can view these notes by rolling your mouse over the icon under the ‘Read what the experts say..’ section.
Sale of Alcohol – what are the restrictions?
Cellar Link Pty Ltd practises the responsible sale of alcohol. It is an offence to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years, or to obtain liquor on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years. We remind you that we cannot sell or ship alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 18; when ordering from Cellar Link’s website you are confirming you are of legal drinking age.
Price & availability changes
Any wine for sale through Cellar Link is subject to change without prior notice. Prices and availability will fluctuate with the market and stock availability at the time of ordering. Cellar Link reserves the right to change prices or availability without penalty to Cellar Link or the customer.
Cancelling orders
You can cancel your order online at any point up to the completion of the secure payment section at the checkout. Beyond this point please send an email to our customer services department customerservice@cellarlink.com.au with your order number clearly quoted and we will deal with your enquiry.
My credit card has been declined – what should I do?
If your credit card has been declined, please check you have entered your card details correctly including the “Card Verification Value” (CVV); failing that please contact your credit card company.
What is Card Verification Value (CVV)?
Card Verification Value (CVV) also known as Card Security Code (CSC) or Card Identification Digit (CID) is an additional security feature for web based payments. The “Card Identification Digits” can be either three or four digits in length depending on the card issuer. For example, Visa, MasterCard, and Diners Club show the CSC or CVV as the three-digit value printed on the signature panel on the back of the card.
For American Express, the Security Code is the 4 digit printed (not embossed or raised) number on the left or right of the card, above or below the card number.

Credit card surcharges
In line with industry practice, Cellar Link charges a surcharge which allows us to recover the costs of processing credit card payments (called merchant service fees). Payment by credit card attracts a surcharge per transaction which will be added to the total price of your purchase when you select your credit card type.
The following charges apply:
American Express – 4.228%
Visa & MasterCard – 1.528%
Credit card surcharges are non-refundable in all cases, even if the purchase itself is refundable.

Is my wine insured during transit?

Wine Transit Insurance is provided by a third party for all deliveries. An excess of $750 applies. For further details contact us on 1300 270 110.
Wine guarantee and returns
All wines for sale on the Cellar Link website are high quality, provenance-tracked wines. Cellar Link will share with the client, if requested, any known information on the provenance of the wine.
If we have made an error with your order, please email us immediately at customerservice@cellarlink.com.au explaining the reasons for your dissatisfaction. Each situation will be reviewed on an individual basis in light of facts and circumstances of that case and resolved promptly.
Please note that we may ask you to return questionable bottles (including both opened and unopened ones) to us for evaluation and for possible return to our supplier. Such bottles must have the Cellar Link generated barcode label attached as proof that the wine came from us. Should we accept responsibility (in our sole discretion); we will either exchange bottle(s) or issue a credit towards future purchases (including round-trip shipping charges). Set forth below are examples of valid reasons for returning wine, which are subject to Cellar Link's investigation, review and final evaluation of the relevant facts and circumstances regarding a particular request for return. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details.
Valid reasons for return:
- Wrong wine was sent (e.g., different vintage than ordered) .
- Shipper errors - we'll file a claim against the shipper.
- Corked or flawed wine, providing said wine is returned in its original condition (and with all accompanying bottles if in a case) to Cellar Link within 7 days of receipt together with proof of purchase.
