Cool flowering led to low yields of incredible quality in the Yarra Valley (25% of the fruit), the high altitude of the King Valley (75% of the fruit) providing terrific acidity.

Soft, approachable and well loved - just like the Wombat - Pinot Gris is a little giant of the wine world. Coming from the cooler climes of the Adelaide Hills you’ll see notes of vibrant pear and appleon the nose that are relected on the fulsome and generous palate all balanced by crisp acidity. Drink with chicken liver terrine or roast pork.
The cooler vintage of 2019 resulted in white jasmine floral notes alongside white-fleshed peach, beurre bosc pear and all spice characters. The palate displays these same characters in abundance focusing on the ripe succulent peach notes, while the mid-palate is full, creamy, and well textured. The wine has a rich, spice-infused finish.
Flavours of Nashi pear & orange blossom are present on the nose with crunchy pear and lemon pith on the palate. This Pinot Gris is high in natural acidity and minerality with white florals and a crisp finish.
