Intriguing bouquet of dark fruits and forest floor, brown spices, dried herbs, and hints of old rose. Dry, savoury, spicey; moderate to fine tannins, plenty of acidity, minerality and a tense structure just beginning to relax after some time in the cellar. You can almost taste the limestone. 2 years in old oak followed by 5 years in cellar. This wine is drinking superbly now. Unfined and unfiltered and bottled with very low sulphite levels.

With bright, ripe mixed summer berry fruits on the nose, this has a really striking purity to it. There's a gently gamy edge too, and there's more complexity to come. The palate has impressive tannin shape, really fanning out nicely. Fleshy purple berry fruit flavors are cast alongside, holding the finish well. Drink or hold. 93/100
