Powerful, intense, stewed fruits with a touch of vanillin oak, leather an dark chocolate. Austere palate to start, then the wine opened up showing expressive complex aromas.
Wine with a great feeling of Terroir.

A rich, round, soft, voluptuous, fruit driven Shiraz with a hint of confectionery sweetness in the background. A very approachable full bodied combination of blueberries, plum, Ribena, mocha chocolate, spice box, vanilla and pepper fill the palate with pleasurable flavours and the balanced soft tannin finish has both length and persistence.
Consistent with the warmer vintage in 2003, the lifted nose is supported by ripe black fruit characters on the palate. Very soft tannin structure gives a supple mouth feel, an excellent food wine.
The 2005 vintage is now showing deep red with a purple rim. The wine in its infancy still shows a lifted and perfumed nose with traces of red plum, blackcurrant and cracked red peppercorn. The palate with all its freshness and luxurious, velvety tannins is so rich and concentrated, yet so reserved. It is a satisfying mixture of chocolate, aniseed and smoky oak. The copious layers are incredibly tightly bound and need time and careful cellaring to unleash the full potential of this wine
A seductive bouquet, showing fresh brambly fruit with a menthol lift. Big, very-fine, dusty tannins need time to integrate but the deep, pure, fruit has enough power to kick through. Liquorice, chocolate and black plum flavours finish with terrific length and persistence. A muscular-weight wine its tight and demands time.
A multi dimensional bouquet of roasted meats, mineral, cola, tar and blackberry. Give this one time to open up, this monster is built for the long haul! The palate starts out thick and coating; immediately powerful and explosive, you are then thrown a huge chunk of fruit while the acid and tannin roll around trying to tame it. The wine shows great oak handling and remains succulent, complete and perfectly balanced.
Still drinking well due to the long term climate controlled storage since release. Fantastic everyday drinking wine, excellent value for money.
Supple in texture, with earthy, gamy notes weaving around ripe cherry and smoky-toasty flavors.
The black/purple tinted colour of this wine is followed by a pure liquorice and wild berry fruit nose. The palate is very firm in structure with fine powdery tannins, warm, rounded mouth-feel and long, dry finish.
With the Shiraz component being dominant, ultra-ripe blackberry, prune and chocolate flavours finish with reasonable persistence.
Muscular-weight, it is supple and harmonious so there is no surprise that it is approachable now.
