Professional Reviews

93/100
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Dark ruby. Intense bouquet of kirsch, mulberry, tar, licorice root and fresh rose. Huge, mouthfilling and remarkably concentrated, the dark fruit flavors braced by fresh acidity that provides structure and a juicy quality. On the palate, the dominant kirsch note is complicated by earthy notes of sassafras and licorice. Impressively long and rich but also vibrant, a note of cassis pastille emerging at the very back.
ST, Josh Raynolds Issue: Aug 1 2006

91/100
Wine Spectator
Polished, open-textured and distinctive for all the floral notes spinning through the rich cherry, currant, plum and dusky spice flavors, lingering on the refreshing finish. Lavish tannins don't get in the way.
WS, Harvey Steiman Issue: Aug 31 2006

90/100
The Wine Advocate
The 2004 Shiraz Greenock Creek Block (aged in American oak) is a dense, full-bodied, intense, old style Australian red with loads of richness as well as a rustic quality.
WA, Robert Parker Jr. Issue: #167
